RIDE START & BREAKFAST
8-9am at Paul Bunyan Trailhead DNR Parking Lot, Brainerd
The ride will start with a BACON-theme breakfast at the Paul Bunyan Trailhead DNR Parking Lot (near the Northland Arboretum). So how does tasty bacon sound to start the day?
After riding about 7 miles pull into Merrifield for a quick BACON fix featuring BACON DONUTS from Cub Foods! If you are thirsty, pop into Harpo's Saloon for a Bloody Mary or Cold Beer!
Just 7 miles up the trail and through the woods from Merrifield, the fun trail town of Nisswa awaits you! You be ready for some tasty BACON samples from the areas best BACON producers for sure!
Stop at the Big Axe Brewing Co. for some of Minnesota's finest craft brews, or slide into the Ye Old Pickle Factory or the Main Street Ale House for beer or other cold beverage! They are both just an axe throw from the Paul Bunyan Trail. Nisswa also has a slew of neat shops and restaurants for you to enjoy!
PEQUOT LAKES - LUNCH TOWN
Ride another 3.5 miles from Nisswa and our BACON-themed lunch stop awaits you at Trailside Park in Pequot Lakes. We will have live music jamming for your enjoyment, so kick back and relax!
If you are thirsty you can stroll across the street to Lucky's Tavern for a good drink special.
Just 3.5 miles up the trail and through the woods from Pequot Lakes, the fun resumes in the trail town of Nisswa!
Stop at the Roundhouse Brewery at their new location for some of Minnesota's finest craft brews and live music.
Nisswa also has a slew of neat shops and restaurants for you to enjoy!
