RIDING THE PAUL

The Paul Bunyan State Trail is one of the longest rail-trails in the country. The multi-use trail follows an inactive railroad corridor built in 1893. The corridor passes through boreal forests, along lakes, rivers and streams. You might also encounter wildlife along the ride's 45 miles visiting the trail towns of Merrifield, Nisswa and Pequot Lakes.
